Bridgette Verna’ Gloster began her ministry in 2003 in the Washington Conference and was ordained an Itinerant Elder by the same. She has served as an associate minister in congregations in Maryland, DC, and NC having received her first pastoral appointment in 2013 to St. John AME Church in Nebo, NC. She is presently the proud pastor of Springdale A.M.E. Church in Burlington, where she serves alongside her best friend, husband, and partner-in-ministry, Rev. Dr. Clay Gloster, Jr. They are the loving parents of four adult children.
Rev. Gloster holds a B.S. in Computer Networking, a Master of Divinity from Howard University, has completed graduate studies in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University, and anticipates the conferral of her Doctorate in Ministry at Payne Theological Seminary in May 2020.
She is an IT professional with over two decades of experience harnessing the power of technology to lead organizational change, improve operational efficiency, and facilitate mission advancement. Over the course of her career, she has served as a Business Systems Analyst and Consultant, IT Project Manager, IT Director, and is currently the Director of Distance Learning for an area community college. Since entering the ministry, she has been blessed to leverage her technology experience to establish innovative ministries and community outreach initiatives.
Beyond and above all else, Rev. Gloster is a woman who loves the Lord and spends each day rejoicing at the grace that allows her to be a part of God’s ministry to the least, the last, and the lost. She is eternally inspired by God’s promise found in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9: “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” She genuinely believes that for as long as we walk with God, there is always hope.
